Migration

The grapes, raisins, wine,
traveling reading roadsigns
or cosines mathematical.
Drawl, bolts and bearings
steel supine balls, the father's
carmel milk! Dark honey
from black bees skipped
yellow genes- ebony queen
buzzing the road, stinger
swathing dots painted
direct traffic, contemptuous.
Motherly illustration: pasty eggs
stuck in cactus fruit, paw paw spines,
porcupine claws delicate tongue.
A lizard highway, drunk off
rotgut bianco slithers
on dusty road, taking wheels
to meet the parents. Shrivel up
wearily, lover, before we die.
